Sodexo Supports NHS England’s Men’s Health Campaign with P-Wave®
Share
The Challenge
Sodexo wanted to tackle unpleasant urinal odours with a product that also supported their ESG goals around sustainability and social value. Traditional urinal solutions lacked innovation, power and the ability to deliver measurable social impact.
The Approach
P-Wave® presented the NHS England branded Slant6 urinal mat to Kevin Muckle, Head of Cleaning at Sodexo, highlighting its unique combination of hygiene performance and public health benefits:
- Powerful long-lasting fragrance for odour control
- Verified biodegradability in landfill for sustainability
- Anti-splash design for cleaner washrooms
- Life-saving public health messaging: “Blood in your pee? Contact your GP practice.”
Sodexo carried out a trial at their UK HQ to assess the product’s performance and the potential to support NHS England’s earlier cancer diagnosis drive.
The Outcome
The trial impressed both in hygiene benefits and in delivering social value through a high-visibility men’s health awareness message. Sodexo adopted the P-Wave® NHS urinal mats as their preferred urinal solution across all UK sites, streamlining supply through phs Group and Bunzl Catering.
“Sodexo is proud to support this crucial NHS England men’s health initiative. As soon as we saw this urinal mat option, we knew we had to install them in our washrooms nationwide.”
— Kevin Muckle, Head of Cleaning, Sodexo UK & Ireland
